These Terms and Conditions govern your booking and use of fishing charter services provided by Capt. Dave Fishing Charters, a U.S. Coast Guard licensed charter operation departing from Mayport, FL and guiding anglers across Jacksonville’s marshes, creeks, and flats since 1996. By booking a trip or using captdaves.com, you agree to the terms below.
Charter Bookings
We offer several charter options, including the Kids Fishing Charter, Half Day Fishing Charter, and Standard Day Charter. Trip pricing, duration, and group size are listed on our website and may vary by season and availability. A deposit or full payment may be required to confirm your reservation.
Cancellations and Weather
Safety comes first. Trips may be rescheduled or canceled by Capt. Dave due to unsafe weather, sea conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will work with you to find a new date whenever a trip must be canceled for these reasons.
Fishing Licenses and Regulations
Capt. Dave holds a valid captain’s license and appropriate fishing licenses covering guests aboard the vessel. All anglers must follow Florida fishing regulations, including bag limits and size restrictions for species such as Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, and Black Drum, as instructed by the captain.
Assumption of Risk
Fishing and boating involve inherent risks, including but not limited to weather, water conditions, and marine wildlife. By booking a charter, you acknowledge these risks and agree to follow all safety instructions given by the captain and crew while on the water.
Guest Conduct
Guests are expected to behave respectfully and safely aboard the vessel. Capt. Dave reserves the right to end a trip early, without refund, if a guest’s conduct endangers themselves, other passengers, or the vessel.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Capt. Dave Fishing Charters is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in a charter, except as required by applicable law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Continued use of our website or booking of a charter after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
